Jaheziyat – or the Jahez weekly festival – was one in a long series of activations that turned the Saudi delivery app into a love brand. Every Tuesday, customers had the opportunity to order one sponsored item for free from the app. With quantities being limited, it was all about being among the first to place the order.
From July to December, 3PM sharp, Jahez customers were on the lookout for their free item and in no more than 30 minutes, the stock was emptied. To say that the operation was successful would be an understatement: the police literally had to intervene because of the traffic that was caused by all the Jahez delivery bikes flooding the streets to get to the sponsoring stores!
One sponsored item became two then more, and the engagement on the app and social media platforms was tremendous, adding to Jahez’s popularity and customer value.
