WonderEight Wins 3rd Pikasso D’or Prize – Silver Digital

Source Beirut-based design agency, WonderEight, has won the 2016 Digital Silver Award at the Pikasso d’Or Awards 2016, hosted on 16th February 2017 at Music Hall, Downtown Beirut. The award recognizes the creative success of WonderEight’s2016 outdoor digital advertising campaign for the fast-growing Classic Burger Joint (CBJ) chain – the third Pikasso d’Or Award to be won by the design agency. Founded in 1999 by Brother’s Boudy and Walid Nasrala, WonderEight works for international, regional and local companies and has offices in Beirut, Dubai and London. Reflecting on the 2016 Classic Burger Joint digital campaign, co-Founder Boudy Nasrala commented that, “Classic Burger Joint is an iconic brand that is gaining real traction across the region. Our digital strategy for the launch of its new menu in 2016 reflected the brand’s clean, simple, youthful aesthetic and we’re really proud of where we have been able to take the brand since it launched in 2010.” Pikasso d’Or is one of the award season’s anticipated events, recognizing the ‘Best Creative Out-of-Home Advertising campaigns, set against internationally recognized standards. WonderEight has previously been awarded by Pikasso d’Or for its outdoor digital campaigns for IXSIR and Dunlop tires. Walid Nasrala, Co-Founder of WonderEight, believes the consultancy’s success lies with its eclectic mix of creative designers, web developers and marketing strategists, “I’m proud to say that each office has an incredible team of creatives and strategists, in beautiful design studios that inspire originality. I think the fact that many of us also have deep roots in grassroots arts and design communities also gives us a unique edge.” Wonder Eight’s longstanding client, Classic Burger Joint, is owned by Lebanon-based Ministry of Food SAL. The CBJ franchise has rapidly grown in recent years, with 12 branches in Lebanon, 9 in Kuwait, 1 in Cyprus and 2 in the UAE. Its first Iraq restaurant is scheduled to open in Baghdad in 2017.
