From AR to Industry Leadership: WonderEight’s Impact at Gulfood Events



We pride ourselves on pushing boundaries and creating impactful experiences that leave a lasting impression. This year, our journey through Gulfood events has been no exception, marked by a bold and innovative approach to sustainability and thought leadership.

Revolutionizing Sustainability at Gulfood Green

For the Gulfood Green Expo 2024, we completely reimagined our presence. Instead of setting up a traditional physical booth, we opted for an eco-friendly, all-virtual activation. Utilizing augmented reality (AR), we engaged attendees in a creative way, reducing our carbon footprint by over 1 ton of CO2 emissions.
How It Worked: Our promoters, dressed in vibrant green t-shirts with bold QR codes, roamed the expo floor. When visitors scanned these codes, they were immersed in an AR experience where a virtual WonderEight representative explained our commitment to sustainability and showcased how we help brands “exist more sustainably” through innovative design and strategic branding.

This initiative not only turned heads but also set a new standard for sustainability in event activations, proving that impactful branding can be eco-conscious and captivating.



Taking the Stage at Gulfood Manufacturing

Following the success at Gulfood Green, our founder, Walid Nasarala, is set to speak on a panel at Gulfood Manufacturing. The discussion, titled “The Road Ahead: Future Growth Opportunities in Food Manufacturing, Processing, and Ingredients,” will cover critical themes such as:

  • Consumer Trends: Addressing the rising demand for clean-label and functional foods in KSA and the UAE, where health and sustainability are key priorities.
  • Sustainability in Packtech: Exploring innovations that reduce food waste, backed by government initiatives like the Saudi Green Initiative and Dubai’s Food Tech Valley.
  • Branding for Impact: How WonderEight’s strategic approach helps F&B brands navigate and lead these evolving trends.


Walid will be joined by esteemed industry leaders, including Malek Inja, Klim Komarov, Sumit Malik, and Shiyam Nagarajan, for an insightful exchange on the future of food.
