Seenaryo is a leading specialist in participatory theater and play-based teaching for marginalized communities in Lebanon and Jordan. With the Covid-19 pandemic impacting vulnerable communities access to the organization’s activities, Seenaryo needed to go digital and migrate its scope of work online. Hence, our team had to design and develop a mobile application and website that would provide a seamless and interactive user experience that would combine parents, children, and teachers’ needs.
We thus designed and developed the Seenaryo Playkit educational mobile application for iOS and Android to help both kindergarten teachers and parents accompany their students and child’s early development. The app is available in three languages (Arabic, English, and French), includes a rich directory of content, tips and interactive features in addition to offering users the possibility to play media offline. Moreover, during app development, extra care was put into providing it with an advanced search engine that allows teachers to find the right piece of content in no time.
The application uses React Native technology and integrates with a backend through APIs. The backend allows the Seenaryo team to manage the content of the app. Moreover, users can upgrade to a paid subscription which grants them access to additional premium content.
The Seenaryo mobile application was complemented by the Playkit website which was designed and developed with the aim to provide potential users with the needed information related to this educational system and its impact on schools, teachers, and children alike.
We got inspired by the application’s mood board for the website’s interface and opted for a visual identity that provides optimal user experience. It was built on top of WordPress and includes eCommerce functionality, allowing Visitors to buy subscribe online.
The Covid-19 pandemic has greatly impacted so many aspects of our lives. Education is without a doubt one of the most crucial areas to safeguard. By taking on this project, we were able to help our client digitize their offering, but also brought a sense of normalcy to the lives of children stuck at home.
