The first branch of a new boutique hotel chain by Shaza in Dubai was to be opened in Muscat, Oman. Uniquely located inside Al Mouj, a thriving waterfront community spread along a stunning six kilometer stretch of coast, Shaza commissioned us to create its branding from A to Z, wanting it to reflect both luxury and affordability simultaneously. Branding a 4 star hotel that gives you the 5 star experience was a beautiful challenge for us to receive.
With our branding, we aimed to reflect a distinct story and brand personality rooted in the ever-changing Arabian lifestyle, and its essence. We chose the name ‘Mysk’, being a luxurious fragrance, inspired by the hotel’s location, ‘Muscat’, and the region’s culture and traditions as a whole. Mysk’s fluid and welcoming identity honors the multifaceted experience that the hotel offers. We developed the name, logo, identity, amenities branding, interior, and every single interactive customer touchpoint to achieve the utmost consistency, efficiency and style.
Earning the well-deserved claim, “Raha (meaning comfort) and tasmim (meaning styling) are always on cue,” Mysk’s beautiful design, colors and fitting props full of distinct charm are all inspired by the local culture and succeed in providing the sense of luxury, comfort and feel-good experience the guests are seeking.
