Kreema was set to launch in Dubai as the city’s most original dessert shop with a playful twist. One of the main challenges was to develop and design an interactive e-commerce website to appeal to the cake shoppers and allow them to easily discover and order their cakes.
User Experience (UX) design was top of mind when developing the website. We created interactive, easily accessible and navigable pages where users can select options from a variety of ready-made cakes, divided by theme, flavor or shape. The website also allowed them to custom-made their 3D cake by choosing and uploading different options from a configurator.
The website was built on top of WordPress, a flexible backend system that’s integrated with payment gateway services and with stock management software at the client’s end. It also included upselling and cross-selling features for the different items, which boosted sales significantly, as well as a tracking system to monitor the user’s behavior and optimize the sales funnel.
The content was optimized for search engines, filled with keywords users would be searching for on Google, fact that made the website rank higher and gain more organic traffic.
