Giving back to the community is a big part of Jahez’s DNA, and so the #1 delivery app of Saudi Arabia was bound to support the youth in a ground-breaking way. With restaurants lying at the core of the app’s business, we worked closely with the client to create the “Min sahib el Mataam” campaign, which translates into “Who’s the restaurant’s owner”.
The title says it all: Jahez was going to hand the winner of this competition the keys to their very own restaurant! And we’re not just talking brick-and-mortar; Jahez was going to invest in the restaurant business idea, help the new owners develop their concept and offer them branding and marketing services. A huge opportunity for young F&B entrepreneurs wishing to make their dream come true and launch their restaurant business.
Teams of 5 people could register on the portal which was specifically created for the competition and upload the idea and vision for their restaurant. Once the team’s concept registered, participants had to market it and drive audience votes on a daily basis in order to remain at the top of the leaderboard.
The competition between the finalists was fierce: agencies were hired, online campaigns rolled out and prizes offered by the aspiring restaurant owners, which led to votes being cast by the thousands! So much so that during the ceremony organized in Kingdom Tower in the presence of big sponsors from the SME ecosystem, Jahez finally decided to crown two winning teams and huge prizes were offered to all 100 participating teams.
