Center stage at DGC Dubai
April 2018 had a different zest this year as we participated in the biggest games and tech industry conference in the MENA. DGC Dubai took place on April 12 and 13 at Hub Zero, CityWalk 2 and was a great opportunity for us to exhibit some of our work, including VR, advergame and Kinnect, participate in talks on the topic and meet top-level CEOs and professionals of leading companies in the industry.
Our installation around CityWalk’s fountain area showcased our latest work in VR advergames, these included the beta version of the next big “Beat Saber,” an immersive and interactive TVC for IDM (leading Internet Provider in Lebanon), a sketched vision of Dubai Expo 2020 and a full experience of Kreema, a newly launched cake/dessert concept that we handled in terms of branding, marketing and digital presence. Leading gaming influencers from the around the world competed to break each other’s top scores at our booth.
Our CEO, Boudy Nasrala, hosted a panel talk on the 13th titled the “Secret of Advergames’ Success and How to Increase Your Sales with Gamification.” It introduced a new approach to marketing that incorporates gaming for boosted sales and brand awareness. Based on experience, it can yield results of around 400% increase, in a highly competitive market curated by new media.
“DGC is becoming the biggest and most professional hub for the gaming industry in the Middle East. The caliber of the speakers is amazing and what we have learned will be very beneficial for our upcoming advergames and marketing strategies,” mentioned Boudy.
The conference gathered over 700 companies from the games industry, more than 70 speakers and 60 top level CEOs, over 200 exhibitors from 35 countries. It hosted more than ten thousands visitors that include key decision makers, marketing managers, developers, publishers, virtual reality and augmented reality experts, technology solution providers and social influencers.
